3 Japanese Cocktails
Today we present a selection of our favorite Japanese cocktails ! They are all very different; with these three cocktails there is something for everyone, for all lovers of Japan .
Typical Japanese Cocktail Recipe: The Red Sun
Following the iconic symbolism of Japan, the red sun is a cocktail with an amazing taste.

Ingredients for 1 person
- 4.5cl of Sake
- 2 cl of tomato liqueur
- 6cl of tomato juice
- Half a squeezed lemon
Fill your cocktail shaker , then add all the ingredients. Shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass and fill with ice.
This cocktail (as well as anything containing sake) tastes even better when enjoyed in traditional Japanese cupsâŠ
Japanese Whisky Cocktail: The Smash
Wonderfully refreshing, this easy- to-prepare cocktail will surprise you.

Ingredients for 1 person
- 6cl of your best Japanese whisky
- 1/2 freshly squeezed lemon
- 1 teaspoon of simple syrup (or agave syrup)
- 7 mint leaves
Start by muddled the fresh mint leaves with a cocktail muddler in your mixing glass. Add the lemon juice and syrup, then stir vigorously. Add your Japanese whisky ( Nikka whisky is excellent in this recipe) along with a few ice cubes, then stir well. Pour into a glass, fill with ice, and add a few sprigs of mint for garnish.
Japanese Lychee Cocktail: The Soho
Here's a Japanese cocktail with lychee liqueur... This delicious fruit is very popular in East and Southeast Asia.

Ingredients for 1 person
- 2.5cl of vodka
- 12cl of lemonade
- 1 and a half teaspoons of blue curaçao
- 1.5cl of lychee liqueur
- 1 starfruit
Fill your shaker with ice, then add all the ingredients except the lemon slice. Shake vigorously for about fifteen seconds, until the drink is very cold. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with star fruit slices for an even more exotic touch.
